Second use thank you card

Sometimes I make what a friend calls “second use cards.” This little thank you piece was attached to a gift bag I received. I attached it to a base of our new In-Color Primrose Petals card stock and embossed the middle section with the heart folder from Adorning Accents Folders. It made a cute, quick card. I think the focal piece was made with MDS—My Digital Studio. It’s a great way to have the fun of stamping combined with the ease and convenience of digital crafting.

This was a fun card to make. I used Sail Away (retired) stamped with Night of Navy ink on Very Vanilla card stock. The beautiful edges were made with the Adorning Accents Edgelits and the Big Shot. I also used Sincere Salutations and The Open Sea (both retired), along with some hemp twine as an accent.

Or dear grad card! For this one, I pulled out one of my favorite retired sets, Wildlife Reserve. I stamped the background with the Wood Grain background stamp and the sentiment is from Word Play. The colors are Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. To finish: a jumbo brad, some twine and a little money tucked inside!

It’s turkey time and it looks like these turkeys knew where to go to escape being dinner – up a tree!

Made with many punches: owl, scallop circle, 5-Petal, large oval, and retired medium oval and Spring Flower Bouquet; SU Petal Cone die and a retired Texturz plate for a little texture on the base. Colors: Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla. I used Dusty Durango and Chocolate Chip ribbon and somehow managed to tie it with the polka dots on the inside, while keeping the choc chip on the outside – sometimes my fingers know just what to do. Stamp sets: All Year Cheer III, Autumn Days and Straight-Up Alphabet & Numbers (all retired).

Stay tuned for more Thanksgiving themed projects.

One more fuchsia-adorned box – this one was made with the Matchbook Box die, an exclusive Stampin’ Up! design. I used my favorite jumbo wheel, Very Vintage, to stamp the design on Crumb Cake card stock with Crumb Cake ink. The phrase is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. The punched fuchsias came from Valita.

I used this box to hand deliver a gift to a very dear friend. This is another reason why I love paper crafting and Stampin’ Up! The box is just as much a gift as what’s inside!
