Do I seem to be stuck on these petal cone die vases? They are a unique way to give a greeting and not just a card to throw away after a day or two (not that anyone throws away my cards – who would do that?). I made this one (for Irene also) with the oval die and my trusty Coluzzle. I used the same colors as the previous post and again, retired stamp sets and card stock. Happy Easter!

Thinking outside the box again (thanks to Irene) by putting hearts together for Easter. Once again I used the Stampin’ Up! exclusive petal cone die to make the base (retired Sage Shadow), gave it texture with the polka dot texturz plate and added the greeting with oval punches. The hearts were made with the SU exclusive hearts framelits and the large heart punch. I trimmed down the mats for the bigger hearts as they were just a bit too big for the lace background (Paper Doily sizzlit).  The stamp sets I used are all retired, as is most of the card stock. Fun to put together, a little different, but a nice way to say Happy Easter!

It’s turkey time and it looks like these turkeys knew where to go to escape being dinner – up a tree!

Made with many punches: owl, scallop circle, 5-Petal, large oval, and retired medium oval and Spring Flower Bouquet; SU Petal Cone die and a retired Texturz plate for a little texture on the base. Colors: Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla. I used Dusty Durango and Chocolate Chip ribbon and somehow managed to tie it with the polka dots on the inside, while keeping the choc chip on the outside – sometimes my fingers know just what to do. Stamp sets: All Year Cheer III, Autumn Days and Straight-Up Alphabet & Numbers (all retired).

Stay tuned for more Thanksgiving themed projects.

Oh yes, anything can go in a Petal Cone die vase – even a cat! This is another oldie – Cattitude – from my retired shelf. One of my bowling league mates requested this, and I was happy to accommodate her. This has been so much fun – wonder what will be next?

Here’s another special request for Mother’s Day and I like it so much I wanted to keep it! I used the Like it a Latte set (retired). The cups are stamped, embossed, cut from DSP – I made each of them unique. I stamped the vase (Petal Cone die again) with coffee beans and added ribbon. Mother’s Day stamp from All Year Cheer (ret) on Very Vanilla, punched with the circle and circle scallop punches. This just goes to show you can put anything in a tree!

This was another special request. I stamped the birds using the Elements of Style set and craft ink, then embossed with clear EP mixed with a little glitter. The flowers are from Vintage Vogue and the vase of course is made with the Petal Cone die and the Elegant Bouquet EB. The sentiment is from one of the retired All Year Cheer sets. What else can go in a tree? Stay tuned!

If you can catch them, you can put them in a vase! I made the butterflies with the SU exclusive Beautiful Wings embosslit and put them in a vase made with the Petal Cone die, embossed with the new Flower Garden embossing folder. Added a little ribbon and a couple of non-SU half pearls and there you have it – a bouquet of butterflies.
