What’s Thanksgiving without treat boxes filled with M&Ms?

These were made with:

  • Mini-milk carton die – Cajun Craze card stock
  • Lots of punches: small oval, scallop oval, circle oval, owl, Spring Bouquet (for the wattle)
  • Crop-a-dile to punch the holes
  • SU natural hemp twine
  • Autumn Days and All Year Cheer III stamp sets (both retired)

And of course, the most important ingredient: chocolate! My friends on my bowling league will be the lucky recipients.

It’s turkey time and it looks like these turkeys knew where to go to escape being dinner – up a tree!

Made with many punches: owl, scallop circle, 5-Petal, large oval, and retired medium oval and Spring Flower Bouquet; SU Petal Cone die and a retired Texturz plate for a little texture on the base. Colors: Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla. I used Dusty Durango and Chocolate Chip ribbon and somehow managed to tie it with the polka dots on the inside, while keeping the choc chip on the outside – sometimes my fingers know just what to do. Stamp sets: All Year Cheer III, Autumn Days and Straight-Up Alphabet & Numbers (all retired).

Stay tuned for more Thanksgiving themed projects.

I used two retired alphabet sets for the words at the top and the sentiment from Thoughts and Prayers, as well as the owl and bird and branch punches. For a little excitement, I added a strip of designer paper behind the owl. She loved it and I had fun making it!

Just thought you’d like to see what a parliament of owls looks like (no kidding, I looked it up). I don’t even know how long it took to make these – lots of punching, piecing and gluing – but lots of fun too.

More fun with owls – my daughter suggested putting them in a tree. I had fun with this! I made the base with the petal cone die. I stamped Chocolate Chip with the Wood Grain background stamp, then used a texture plate to give it a bark like appearance. The owls were made with lots of different colors and the leaves were made with the Little Leaves sizzlet.

I loved the roses so much I made five more! These were for a conference for NEWIM, an organization I love and volunteer for regularly. I made the tags with the Curly Label punch and the Movers & Shapers Curly Label die. I can’t wait to try making other flowers!
