Here are a little more detailed instructions for the cake explosion box:

For the lid, cut a 7×7″ piece of cs or dsp, score at 1-1/2″ on all four sides. Clip along one corner score line in each corner – in other words, don’t cut out the corner square, just clip once in each corner so you can fold in and glue the sides.
For the inside, take a 12×12 piece of cs or dsp, score at 4″ on each side and cut out each 4″ corner square. When you fold along the score lines and bring up the sides, that forms the box. Then make the cake and decorate everything.
I embossed all over the cake pieces before putting it together.

It’s pretty easy, although I spent a bit of time making this one as it was my first. I’m sure it won’t be my last. The happy couple are going on a cruise for their honeymoon, so they won’t even open it until they get back. At the reception last night, I got to see my 250 boxes (made from Box #2 die) on the tables. The bride’s friends made the tissue paper flowers, stamped the back and glued down the belly bands. They were filled with candy and made a nice party favor. Pirouette Pink and Whisper White with a touch of silver were the colors. It was a beautiful sight! Now you know why I made the cake white with pink butterflies!
