…would still smell as sweet, but then what would we call this stamp set? Stippled Blossoms, I guess. That is indeed the name of the set I used for a stamping challenge, made by my 5th level upline, to make five cards from the same set. For this ongoing quarterly challenge I’ll be getting my creative juices going to come up with original ideas and hopefully some beautiful cards to inspire you.

Here is the first (yes, I’m going to post them one at a time, in the order I made them).

Stamp sets: Stippled Blossoms, Love and Sympathy.
Colors: Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green, Whisper White.
Accessories: Big Shot, Adorning Accents Edgelits.

This was a fun card to make. I used Sail Away (retired) stamped with Night of Navy ink on Very Vanilla card stock. The beautiful edges were made with the Adorning Accents Edgelits and the Big Shot. I also used Sincere Salutations and The Open Sea (both retired), along with some hemp twine as an accent.

This month’s workshop projects were a lot of fun – but then I always have fun when I use the Big Shot. The first one is a CASE of Stampin’ Kari’s creation (on splitcoast), which was inspired by Jackie Topa. We all share our ideas and copy everything! I used Whisper White for the vase, which was cut using the new Petal Cone die from the Occasions mini and embossed with Perfect Polka Dots. The daffodils were made using the Fun Flowers die, also from the new mini. I used strips of chipboard to make the stems and covered them with Pear Pizzazz.

The second is a card made with the faux pressed flower technique. It’s on a base of Rich Razzleberry. The mat is Old Olive. I used the vine stamp from Thoughts and Prayers and punched out the flowers with a retired punch, added the So Saffron centers and then ran the stamped and layered Top Note piece through the Big Shot to emboss it with the Vintage Wallpaper folder. Lots of die-cutting and embossing! The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

I made this for a friend who just had a baby. I cut out the heart using my Coluzzle and some chipboard, covered front and back with designer paper and card stock, then used my Big Shot and Stampin’ Up! Timeless Type Alphabet Junior sizzlet set to make the letters. The flowers were made with the Flowers with Vine sizzlet. Added a ribbon using the Crop-a-Dile and some brads. The only mistake I made was not using strong enough glue on the letters – one of them popped off when I gave a matching one to the baby’s big sister. Note to self: use stronger glue next time. But these are fun and quick and make a cute door knob hanger.

The stamp on the back is from Cornish Heritage Farms.
