A friend gave me some Amish Friendship Bread starter, which I’ve been enjoying. I make breakfast bread with different fruit and nuts, usually with low carb flour for my husband – it’s delicious. I also make sourdough bread, which is also great. At first it was easy to remember which day it was, whether a day to just stir, to feed or feed and bake. So I pulled out my Bind-it-All and made a little book to help me keep track. I also made one for the friend who gave me the starter. She loved it! And I do too. Not only is it attractive, it really does help me remember when to stir!

I put Bible verses and inspiring quotations on the back, so I read those when I flip the page every day. I also left two pages blank for the recipes. I didn’t laminate it though, so I’m going to try and keep it clean.

I started with some chipboard cut into squares and rounded the corners. I used retired DSP from SAB last year to cover the chipboard, retired Lovely Lilac with Very Vanilla for the pages, a mini alphabet die (non-SU) and various stamp sets. For my friend’s book, I stamped and embossed the words – cutting out all those tiny letters was quite time-consuming, as was gluing them down. Even though it looks nice, I decided it was a one off. Let me know what you think!
