My fourth Truly Grateful challenge card appropriately has four elements in the layout, with a strip of Early Espresso as a background accent. I tried to creatively wrap the linen thread around the four pieces – it turned out kind of random, but it works.

I added a touch of blue to my third Truly Grateful challenge card. Marina Mist is a beautiful color and seemed to go well with the other colors. This one is also on a Crumb Cake base. Torn edges give it a bit of a rustic look, don’t you think?

For my second Truly Grateful challenge card, I used a tried and true layout: the triplet. I used Garden Green for the base, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso for the layers and a little bit of linen thread for an accent. I love the old wood barn look of the background stamp in this set. Great for fall or masculine cards.

I’m a little tardy posting last quarter’s challenge cards, so I’m going to play catch-up and post them all soon, starting with this one made with masking tape! The technique, called Magical Masking Tape, was posted on splitcoaststampers and it’s so easy and fun I just had to try it.


I used the stamp set Truly Grateful for this challenge, an autumn themed set, available in the current holiday catalog. I used Very Vanilla card stock and some fall-looking colors, applied with masking tape, and stamped the image in Early  Espresso. I added a little linen thread as an accent. The technique is simple and can be used with any colors and a lot of different stamps. Hope you like it!
