Here are the cards we did at our workshop this month. The first is called a Triangle Treat Box (the tutorial is on splitcoast). It’s quite simple. All you need is a 3×11″ piece of cardstock, scored at 3, 6 and 9″. Then trace the triangle on another piece of cardstock, score inside the lines, cut half an inch outside the lines and put it together. It’s probably easier if you look up the tutorial, but it’s really easy. I decorated it a little, stamped on tissue paper (Autumn Day stamp set) and added chocolate of course. I’ll be making several of these for our Thanksgiving dinner table.
The second one is a card with a detachable bookmark, also very nicely explained in the resources section of splitcoast. This one requires a perforating tool and more than half a sheet of cardstock. I used Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray and Very Vanilla, a nice combination if I say so myself! I enhanced both projects with exclusive Stampin’ Up! Embossing folders – Vintage Wallpaper for the box and Polka Dots for the card. The stamp set on this one is Happiness Shared, with a sentiment from With All My Heart.
