These are the two cards we are making this month. The first is made with the faux silk technique. This is very simple – stamp images on a piece of plain old tissue paper, crumple it up, open and adhere to a piece of white card stock with glue stick or liquid glue. If you sprinkle a little glitter on top before the glue dries, the glitter will stick and make it nice and sparkly. I used the Awash With Flowers stamp set, with Concord Crush, Peach Parfait and Pear Pizzaz inks and papers.

The second card uses the faux postage technique. This requires a template printed out on card stock. To use a large stamp, you’ll need to make a plastic or paper mask for all but the insides of the “stamps.” You can also use small stamps without a mask. I sponged a little ink inside the squares to add some depth. The base is Crumb Cake and the mat is Always Artichoke. I used the Autumn Days and French Foliage stamp sets. If you’d like the template, email me and I’ll send it as a Word document.
