I have been playing with the Woodgrain Background stamp in preparation for the next club meeting. It’s a fun technique and each card is a little different.  For most of these cards, I used Early Espresso as the base and Crumb Cake for the mat. Love these new colors! This is JanTink’s wonderful woodgrain technique (http://stampspaperscissors.typepad.com/stamps_paper_scissors/). She’s a genius!

I used the new Just Believe stamp set on several of these – great set.

The thinking of you card was a happy mistake. In May we made cards using the spotlight technique. We were to stamp the image on the card base in Soft Suede, then stamp a smaller piece of card stock with part of the same image and color it in. I was talking and colored the wrong piece! It was so pretty I turned it into a different card, stamping the retired French Script background over it. I used the new Blush Blossom for the base – really pretty color!

The second card was for my daughter’s birthday. I pulled out an old goodie – Dreams and Dragons. She liked it. The base of this card is the new Concord Crush.
